Lord Armand Vale
System Lord Armand Vale is the ruler of the Cantha region on Orpheus, and previously served the Empire as a red wizard of The Chantry. Lord Vale is a gaunt, skeletal figure, standing unnaturally tall, his frame draped in flowing scarlet robes woven with runes of compulsion and dominion. His pale skin, stretched taut over his face, makes him appear more specter than man. His voice is calm and measured, yet carries an undeniable weight of command, as though reality itself bends at his whisper. Vale moves with a deliberate grace, every motion calculated, as though he sees the world in layers of unseen threads, each one his to weave or sever. Armand Vale is ruthlessly efficient, terrifyingly intelligent, and utterly devoted to the Eternal Empire. He does not rule through brute force or open cruelty, but rather through systematic control, his grip on Cantha as unyielding as the chains on its Indents. To Vale, every person is either a tool, a resource, or an obstacle—and he discards all that is inefficient. He sees himself as a divine architect, reshaping Orpheus into a perfect engine of industry and order. The suffering of Indents is not malice, but necessary optimization. His belief in Imperial supremacy is absolute, but he is no blind zealot. He understands power intimately—whether political, magical, or divine—and he wields it with cold, surgical precision. Those who oppose him do not die quickly; they are erased, unmade, their very existence rewritten or forgotten. Vale is patient, methodical, and utterly unshakable. He does not rage, he does not act impulsively—he waits, watching his enemies ensnare themselves in his web.
