Wig Man's
Wig Man's is a long, low building in East Roc. It's front still bears the faded red letters W G M A N S, from before the apocalypse. Although once in disrepair and overgrown, it has since been somewhat restored and acts as a central point in the East Roc community, partitioned into a church and town hall, along with other smaller rooms dedicated to storage, working, and healing.
Surrounding Wig Man's is a mix of buildings old and new where most of East Roc's population lives. There are some small farms in the direct vicinity, and fishing takes place in the nearby lakes and streams. Watch towers are scattered around the area, forming a loose border against the rest of the district.
Wig Man's got its name from the old hermit who used to live in the building before it was repurposed. He was referred to as Wig Man due to the letters on front of the building, and the fact that he collected hair and stuck it to his bald scalp, forming a patchwork wig of hair, fur and other debris. Upon his death, the building was fixed up and named Wig man's in honor of its previous owner.

Demographics
Though few live within the building itself, the surrounding village is home to most of East Roc's population. They are fairly communal, and work together to build, maintain and defend their home. They are typically split into family units, and tend to live reasonably long lives compared to the rest of the Rocpocalypse area.
The holding is inhabited mostly by farmers, though there are several craftsmen and healers as well. Older inhabitants tend to watch over children and the settlement as a whole, while the young guard the village and keep it running as best they can.
Several holy books were taken from the buildings near Wig Man's, and though many are incomplete, the people of East Roc have done their best to recreate a religion from the scraps left behind.

Government
The Wig Man's community is run by a small council of elders, though they act in the interests of the community as a whole rather than as an oligarchy. They hold regular town meetings and the community at large votes on important issues.
Defences
Although there is a wall along East Roc's border, Wig Man's itself is still somewhat defended. There are several watchtowers around the rough border of the town, and guards are regularly posted there to keep watch.
Wig Man's has no formal military, but all adults are trained in at least the basics of combat. Additionally, they spend significant time practicing working as a cohesive unit, resulting in tactics more independent attackers aren't always prepared for.

Industry & Trade
Wig Man's has enough agriculture that it can sustain its own population, but not much else. There is some fishing that takes place in the nearby bodies of water.
They have some simple manufactured goods production, such as carpentry and weaving with tools taken from pre-rocpocalypse buildings. Again, these are sufficient for their own population, but production is not high enough to export anything.
Trade with neighboring districts is limited since East Roc's neighbors are Pitts North and Fenfield

Infrastructure
Wig Man's contains a town hall, church, and workshops with some scavenged tools. They have a small library as well, though the books are few and many are in poor condition.
Food is gathered from the gardens and small farms in the village, as well as from the surrounding countryside. Water is taken from the nearby lake and stream.

Guilds and Factions
Most divides among the people of Wig Man's tend to be along either family or occupational lines. Although groups will occasionally disagree, the strong community bonds of the holding prevent things from getting too far out of hand.
Although not technically a part of Wig Man's, its people do clash with the nearby cultists that live on the edge of the maelstrom.

History
Wig Man's was reestablished fairly quickly after the Rocpocalypse, with the building itself being reclaimed from the original Wig Man within a decade of the destruction. For the forty or so years after that, things have been relatively peaceful, though East Roc's inhabitants have to continuously defend themselves against incursions from Fenfield, Pitts North, and against the maelstrom cultists to their east.
The town's initial rebuilding effort was spearheaded by a driven young person, who was a budding politician before the apocalypse. They helped establish the town, set down rules, organize food production, send out scavenging crews and build defenses. Once things were more stable, they set up the council of elders to help ensure a more democratic government, though they were placed on the initial council by popular vote.
