The German House

When the world went to Hell, almost everything changed. As entire cities were leveled and the Maelstrom exploded into reality, a number of anomalies presented themselves, and when the dust settled, these anomalies became points of fascination. One could say the entirety of the Infinite Loop was itself an anomaly, affected so heavily by the Maelstrom as to become unrecognizable. Indeed, this world of the Rocpocalypse is dotted with anomalies, each one more terrifying, daunting, and repulsing than the last. But, there is one anomaly that may yet bring joy to this world.   The Historic German House remains entirely unchanged, despite the destruction surrounding it. From afar, you can make out a blue, shimmering light covering its walls, but this seems to disappear once you get closer. The building is remarkably well kept, pristine and attractive as always, reminding passersby of a time far gone. The front doors are always open, and even from the street, you can see and hear a joyous celebration inside. Music and singing and dancing, warm lights and happy hearts, everything this venue was known for back in the day.   It's so difficult to resist coming in... You are always welcome here. Do come and stay a while!   We insist.

Purpose / Function

The German House is presumably a functioning tavern, but this is unconfirmed. There are at least 60 unique individuals who have been observed within the building at any one time. The problem is, these same individuals have been seen in there for years, and no one from the surrounding Wedgeward community can remember interacting with them, ever. Even stranger, none of them seem to be aging, stuck in a perpetual time loop of everlasting swing dancing and good times. Doesn't sound half bad, actually...   Locals have a natural intuition to avoid the building at all costs. The place just seems suspicious to them. Some travelers have gone in, obviously lured by the festivities and promise of a good time, but no one ever comes back out. No one.

Alterations

All of the pristine brickwork and old-timey charm is still intact. In fact, the German House is one of the few buildings in the Rocpocalypse to boast untouched signage, hence its unchanged name.   The only change of note is the surface-level shimmering light, only visible from a distance.
