St. John the Fisherman's College

Ancient legends tell of Saint John, the Fisher of Man, a heroic titan known for being a protector and healer of the sick. His visage echoed in word and art throughout history, and some in the Rocpocalypse remember a time when he was revered in the holy places. A place of learning bearing his name arose sometime before the world went to Hell, and those who attended carried his mission of protection and healing.   But now, the "Fisherman's College" is a husk of its former self. It currently sees no use; the one remaining structure bearing the name of the college echoes with voices of the past and a profound sense of missed purpose. Concerted efforts have arose in the past to bring this place back to a hub of learning, some even taking the "Fisherman's College" mantra to heart, and setting themselves up as instructors for those hoping to learn to fish on the banks of the Erie Canal.   Perhaps the College's proximity to Fenfield, and the growing threat it presents, is enough to keep the general populace away from what would otherwise be a very usable structure.   Or, perhaps a world gone to Hell has no use for a Saint.

Purpose / Function

In times gone by, this was a place of education and learning. Now, it collects dust and waits for someone either brave or stupid enough to call it home.

Alterations

The primary structure of the college is very sound, surviving quite well since the catastrophe. The surrounding buildings and fields have been damaged or re-purposed fairly heavily, but almost no alterations exist on the main building.

Architecture

Strong brick and mortar, numerous windows boarded up.
