History
Yankovo Perovye's rapid rise to power was attributed largely to the role robotics played in Perovyan history. Initially at the helm of robotics pioneering, Yankovo Perovye was able to design and produce robotics at a skill and rate previously unheard of. The first Robotic to pass the Turing test (SAR-001) was built in 2334 by engineers for the Perovyan intelligence agency. These technologies were being rapidly advanced in Yankovo Perovye, and not long after SAR-001 was built factories and businesses began cropping up in Yankovo Perovye dedicated to the advancement of robotics technology.
With robotics now being produced on a massive scale, robotics became a stable in every day Perovyan life: businesses were being operated by robotics, robotics were being created for the military, robotics were being used as assistants, robotics appearing on television as entertainers - and robotics weren't difficult to afford. They were quite common household objects, by the 23rd century nearly every family in Yankovo Perovye owned at least one robotic.
With the convenience of robotics keeping every day life running smoothly and bolstering the power of the Perovyan military, as well as the general technological level of Yankovo Perovye in comparison to other eastern nations, Yankovo Perovye was free to colonize the eastern continent to their hearts content rapidly forming an empire that spanned nearly the entire continent.
Eventually over time the Perovyan secrets to robotics would be shared to the rest of the world. Even with other nations now having access to the tools Yankovo Perovye relied on to create their robotics, Yankovo was confident that they were so far ahead of the curve that other nations having access to robotics wouldn't pose a threat. And they were right, for a time. The Perovyan empire would last until the 26th century, shortly after Riza was established as a new technological superpower. Riza took the advancements Yankovo Perovye had initialized and further improved upon them, quickly outpacing Yankovo. Even with the several hundred year long headstart, Riza was quickly leaving Yankovo in the dust.
Riza was also not as stingy with the trade secrets. New robotics technology came out of Riza and became available to the greater public rapidly allowing for other nations to create improved robotics as well. When these practices were adopted in eastern nations Yankovo found the eastern continent nations pushing their borders back until Yankovo was a shell of what it once was.
Nowadays Yankovo Perovye is considered to be behind on the times when it comes to robotics.

Despite having been at the forefront of robotics engineering, Yankovo Perovye is now considered to be quite a bit behind on the times in comparison to other nations. The technology level is estimated to be about 20 years behind Riza.
