ARK Weapons Vaults

A number of top secret large underground vaults dotted throughout Riza owned and operated by ARK. The exact number of vaults is unkown.

Purpose / Function

The vaults were built to house weapons and serve as a safe location in the event of an unprecedented attack on Rizan soil, to allow for important Rizan authorities to retreat and prepare a counterattack. The vault below the ARK facility is known to hold some of the deadliest weapons of mass destruction that ARK has at its disposal.

Defenses

The vaults are deep underground and made out of 15 layers of blast resistant wall material, nearly seven feet thick, making it nearly impossible to breach. Following the seven foot thick wall there is a small gap of mostly empty space followed by the outer wall of the interior vault, which is suspended on sturdy but flexible cords allowing for stabalization of the interior vault in the event of an earthquake or other ground shaking impact.   Another natural defense is the fact that it's kept so secret. It's hard to target a vault that you don't know exists.

Security

Holding such deadly weapons, the vaults are some of the most secure places in Riza. It's kept top secret, even from most @ARK agents. Only a select few weaponry specialists are granted access to it. The only person authorized to give agents access to the vault is the Officer of Defense and the ARK Commander. Most vaults have a different set of people authorized to access it. Almost no one, outside of the Officer of Defense and ARK Commander, has access to all of the vaults.   Like with everything in the ARK facility, the ability to unlock the vault is tied to an agents ID. Unlike the standard ID, access to the vault isn't granted to an individual security class. IDs have to be individually programmed to have access to the vaults. When an ID is used to unlock a vault, an alert is sent to the Commander. If the vault is opened without prior authorization, one or more teams are sent to investigate.
