Golden Coven

The Golden Coven is one of the most ancient of Fae organizations powerful enough to stand toe to toe against the combined might of the Seelie and Unseelie courts despite being comprised of only three members. The Coven is also the primary ruling body of the Golden City of Calanthis, a city-state in the Wyldrysc where the line between Seelie and Unseelie is blurred—if not outright disrespected.

Structure

The Golden Coven is comprised of only three members. Despite ostensibly being a sisterhood of equals, there is an implicit understanding among the public and even between the three members that Johariel, the oldest and most mysterious of the three fae queens that form the Coven, is the de-facto leader of the Coven.

Public Agenda

Outwardly, the Golden Coven seeks to uncover the deepest and most fundamental truths of the world. No rock is too big to overturn, nothing so sacred as to not question. One of the matters the Coven is most interested in interrogating is the truth of fae and why it is that the system of alignments exists. To this end, the three queens of Calanthis have ever sought to disrupt and dismantle the alignment system not just to encourage the free flow of information between communities that are otherwise kept separate by the alignment system, but also to see what would happen when something so fundamental to fae identity is either damaged or destroyed.
