Xarobganer (Za Rob gone air)

A lightning swept plain of scraggly scrub grasses, tall mesas and deep canyons. Located far to the east of the lands of Aka, it is a land of cold, brutal beauty that makes no pretenses about the odds of those organisms that call this arid place home. While storms are common, precipitation is not. Over the course of a year often  no more than 220mm of rain falls to whet the thirst of this hardscrabble land.

It is hostile to life and yet life clings here. Nomadic tribes of lizardfolk, similar in appearance to Gila monsters, roam with wary impunity while sunbaked kobolds hollow out the great mesas that dot the landscape in search of artifacts only their shamans know of. Hostile snakefolk guard the canyons around the darkly legendary Pit of Gods; creeping out of complex cave systems as the sun rises to bath in the heat while warning off intruders with fear inducing rattles before they strike.

Fauna & Flora

Plants find an impoverished existence here. Hardy sun-bleached grasses and thin, knotty clumps of woody bushes covered in thorns and shaped much like grasping claws tend to be all that survive. Tumbleweeds are a common sight. Plant spirits in this place tend to likewise be hard, thin, and greedy for moisture.

Tourism

The Pit of Gods draws would be fortune hunters like moths to a flame. Those who make it past the snakefolk must deal with horrific arachnids and stone covered beasts whose touch petrifies. Those who press on tell tales of strange technologies and stranger guardians deep in the bottom of the Pit where even the light of the sun dares not intrude. The place is considered cursed, as weakness and the sloughing of flesh is common after interacting with the glowing stones deep in the heart of the pit.
