Artyrian, god of justice and commerce, reflects the ancient custom that trade should be equitable, with trades being equally beneficial to both parties. This is not necessarily the case in reality, of course, but it is still common to see merchants displaying votive statues of Artyrian to indicate their belief in just trading.
Of course, a merchant who believes in unjust trading will probably have few qualms about falsely petitioning Artyrion...
