Personal history

Lotte hails from a Hazen-Malthus sibko, with Khan Yvonne Hazen herself being her Genemother. This led much to be expected of her and her sibkin.
Lotte fought hard to bring honor to herself and her clan as her sibko moved through the harsh clan training. When it came time for her Trial of Position, she excelled by defeating two enemies, earning the rank of Star Commander.
She commanded Battle Star on the planet of Foster where she repulsed several attacks by opposing clans. Lotte earned the rank of Star Captain after a routine Trial of Position, seeing her command a Trinary of the 4th Falcon Talon. Lotte further distinguished herself while leading her Trinary against the Fifth Davion Guards during the conquest of the planet La Grave in December of 3051. This battle saw Lotte injured, leading her to not be considered to fight at The Battle of Tukayyid. This bothered her greatly but ultimately might have saved her life.
Lotte's life would shift dramatically after she led her Trinary into battle against a "honorless band of mercenaries" known to the Inner Sphere as the Riesenjager Mercenary Company. On April 12th, 3055 Lotte was leading a Battle Star in pursuit of a mercenary lance that had ambushed her galaxy and was now attempting to flee. Two of the BattleMechs were picked off, however the final two decided to stand and fight. Skillfully they coordinated their attacks as they attempted to avoid the Star's fire. Slowly Lotte's Star was dismantled, she would soon find herself taken as isorla to the commander of the lance, and the battalion, Mai Kruger.
Lotte would spend the next three years under the direct command of her bondholder. Often doing odd jobs for her or the company, she was typically employed as a MechTech and occasionally consulted as an expert on the clans and their ways. Although she was often watched by everyone during her first few months within the company, overtime she began to be treated more and more as a member of the company. It wasn't long before she was trusted to work without a security detail watching her. This all culminated when Lotte was asked to help train members of the Bucklands Militia in clan warfare during the company's garrison contract on the planet in January of 3058. When the Jade Falcon's Third Falcon Talon Cluster landed, she was explicitly ordered by Mai Kruger not to participate, but promised that in time, she would command a battlemech again.
That promise would be fulfilled not long after as the Riesenjager were caught up in another Jade Falcon attack as they sought respite on Coventry. Towards the end of May, nearly three months into the engagement, Lotte would be asked to lead a team of Riesenjager infantry in a raid to infiltrate the Clan held town of Whitting. Lotte's team succeeded in placing demolition charges in key strategic locations around the town before departing without raising any alarms. For this, Lotte's bondcord would be cut and she would go into battle alongside her former bondholder.
Over the years, Mai Kruger and Lotte had learned to trust and rely on each other. So great was Mai's trust of Lotte that when it came time to assemble a team for the company's part of Operation Bird Dog, Mai chose Lotte to head up the lance.
Bird Dog was a test for Lotte. Lotte would end up spending much of the operation in the infirmary with a multitude of injuries. She had been ordered by the team's doctor not to participate in a raid on June 17th 3059. She was in the medical tent when two Smoke Jaguar mechwarriors began an attack on the Mechs left at the camp. She would take command of Gunther Engleman's Warhammer as the two MechWarriors attempted to flee in a Kodiak and Loki. Their firepower was too much for the mech, causing it to collapse under their fire. Lotte had not had time to strap into the Warhammer's command couch. When it fell, she was thrown around the cockpit, the injuries she sustained left her paralyzed from the waist down.
Lotte would be rushed to the infirmary of the Sigrun as soon as it landed. When the rest of the Bird Dog team joined the Operation Bulldog team, she was shuttled off away from the front lines. Lotte wound up on Canopus where she received intensive medical treatment. The doctors on Canopus were able to return function to her legs thanks to a spinal bridge.
Lotte would be returned to Naumkeag after this. As she landed she was summoned to meet with the planet's Jarl, Meo Tran. Meo laid out a plan, she believed the company will return with a number of clan warriors as bondsmen and she intended to put them to work. Lotte was given command of all clan warriors in the system, the island of Elahlid to house them, and the bloodname "Jager" in honor of her new found clan. Lotte's clanners would mostly keep to themselves on Elahild Island, however they would regularly journey to the mainland to act as an opfor in numerous training exercises. When the combined Serpent/Bulldog force finally returned to the system, their captured bondsmen were placed under Lotte's care.
