After the death of Thi, five mortals rose to power in the following years. It is unclear exactly how they accumulated the Breath from Thi's dying body or the sea where it pooled.
Compared to Thi, their power is as dangerous as a toddler with a wooden sword. Even at Thi's death the true god was more powerful than any one of the new gods, and even the person of Thi was hardly a god compared to the creator of the universe. But compared to the other mortal gods, they possessed unfathomable strength.
The old gods are
Solsyn, god of nature, and protector of Rhina
Djaiss, god of knowledge, and library keeper
Xidojz, god of the sky, and the Emissary
Nutiaehais, god of death, and servant of Adit
Aotl, god of war, and protector of mortals
