Hom

Ethan
Hom is a semi/subtly magical continent which is covered in thick and unforgiving jungle. It is a bit smaller than the central United States. Homens have recently established a government system very similar to that currently observed by the citizens of the United States.   The current Homen government was heavily inspired (in universe) by the system used by the protectors, guardians, leaders, and denizens of the jungle - the greenmen. It was set in place by the stony, mountain nomads known as mountain-men - the emissaries of the greenmen. Prior to the establishment of the current system of governance the homens had observed a time of ignorant peace, the forest provided everything they needed so they did not move, but did expand. This expansion grew out of control and the humanoids of the continent were fed up with the perceived oppression of the greenmen who wished them quell their growth. The greenmen, seeing the unrest, worked behind the scenes to establish a government which modeled their own ancient system. This system is the one which still stands now.

Geography

Racial Distribution:   Ogres, bugbears, half-ogres, and troglodytes (all collectively referred to as ogres) primarily dwell in the southern plains   Frogmen, lizardmen, and lizardfolk (all collectively referred to as demergodytes) primarily dwell in the southern swamps   Humans, soovir (elves), tinker elves (gnomes), lucklings, half-elves, dragonborn, and dwarves are the majority of the populous in most settlements   Mountain-men inhabit the mountains of hom and many serve as government officials   The greenmen are incredibly elusive   In the eastern forests can be found many fairyfolk such as forest elves (gnomes), faries (elves), violet elves, and cearon-al (elves).   The exiled inhabit the deep forests. (primarily the north) Many bogeymen find refuge in the forest and the kenku population has carved out sections of the forest as their own.
