This world is what came of me not reading any of the D&D 5e lore before running a game. It has since spiraled out of control and is rapidly becoming my own.
The name is similar to Miskatonic in the fact that is is simply a strange amalgamation of Latin and pseudo-Latin
The major aspect which sets Rey'pelulent apart is the fact that death may not be final. (this was borne of the fact that I didn't understand saving throws when I first ran the game) This is because the world has a fairly open afterlife (in which actual death can occur) known as Secondlife.
