Iboha

The city of flowers

Located at the coast of Neh'ari, one of the larger islands in the continent of Niatias, this is one of the most well-known cities on the moon of Laethius, famous for Idros Oplamia and retsha nectar.

Demographics

Most permanent residents of this city are of the same species, the Naera, who are native to Laethius. The most common ethnicity found here are of the Neh'ari people, though, with the rise in persecution of the Kraevrox on Orlas, many Kraevrox and sympathisers have begun to migrate to Neh'ari. Iboha is a popular city for these immigrants.

Industry & Trade

The inhabitants of Iboha are famous for their food dish, Idros Oplamia, which is extremely popular during the Convergence Feast. Though this dish is typically only made every 7 Earth years, the components that make up this dish are available every year.   The fish used in Idros Oplamia is available around the whole of the northern coast of Neh'ari, but Iboha is well-known for being the largest fishing city of the island. Around a fifth of the population is involved in the fishing industry in Iboha. Krebousa, the main fruit of Idros Oplamia, is extremely popular throughout the year and is one of the main exports of this city. The Iboha people are experts at tending to and growing all edible plants that are native to their area.   The flowers of retsha and wumweo are another popular food export, one which is only available within the Iboha region of Neh'ari. These flowers are extremely sought-after and, while they are grown elsewhere, they are known to taste best when they come from Iboha. These flowers can also be used to make drinks.

Tourism

Tourists of Iboha enjoy taking in the seaside, whether it's a simple lunch in a beachfront cafe or a week-long voyage on a fishing or exploration vessel. The city's river is also a major attraction, with riverboats, swimming and searching for edible water plants, amongst the most popular activities.    The main tourist attraction, however, is the food and drink. Iboha is famous for its retsha nectar, a sweet beverage produced only in this city and often consumed hot.

Geography

Iboha is a coastal city, with a narrow river running through the heart of it. Iboha is built partially on the side of a hill, with the main entrance at the peak of the hill, providing protection from would-be attackers as well as scenic views of the surrounding forests.
