Prince Lyr id Adzyd
Twin brother of the Crown Prince, Lyr is a friendly, if mischievous, young man. With a caring, stubborn personality and a bright, slightly perverted sense of humor, it's a surprise his twin has only dumped him in the ocean a few times in their life. He's more responsible than his lighthearted approach to life would suggest, though, with a stubborn protective streak that makes him a fierce defender of his brothers and friends — and to be on Prince Lyr's bad side is an invitation to disaster.

General Physical Condition
He is lean and fit, all lanky muscle and incredibly fine-boned, and glowing with health.
Facial Features
Lyr's features are much more delicately crafted than those of his twin; he has a sharp, aquiline nose, bright round eyes, and a wide, delicate mouth, contrasted against a strong, square jaw and delicately carved cheekbones.

He has an intricate tattoo spanning from his left elbow to the centre of his chest, covering his left pectoral.

Lyr seems to amble rather than walk, and has a habit of pushing his bangs out of his face.

Personal history
Lyr was born ten minutes after his twin, in the beginning of the ninth month. As with all children of the islands, he could swim almost before he could walk, and foraged crabs and shallow-water clams for food once he could identify them.
He helped his mother and the women of the islands with the fields until he turned ten, at which point he chose to work under the village basket-weavers until he was considered an adult. By that time he was being taught sailing, fishing, and trapping, as the basket weavers also weave their traps.
He received his first ceremonial tattoo at fifteen, a simple black band around his left wrist to denote his new adulthood. After that, he threw himself into his studies, intent on leaving the most grueling physical work to his twin.
At seventeen, he was stranded on an uninhabited island with his twin during a tropical storm, armed with little more than two fishing spears and a broken knife.
They returned to their home island with the carcass of a massive shark and scraped up hands and arms, Tysé with a hastily bandaged bite to his calf. From that achievement, he and Tysé received mirrored tattoos that cover their arms from the elbow to the centre of their chest — Lyr's on his left arm, Tysé's on his right.
A year later, talk of the Treaty reached them, and Lyr once again threw himself into study. One of his younger brothers would be sent away if this Treaty succeeded, and he did not intend to let them go alone. Eventually, it was decided that Tekhys would be sent to Eurgard, and Lyr would not hear of anything but following him.
Education
Like most children on the Ilai'a Islands, Lyr learned from a very young age how to sail, fish, and tell the weather. As a prince, when he got older, his lessons became more intense. He was taught Maths, Diplomacy, Science, History, Etiquette, and learned Norsken in two years.

At the age of seventeen, he and his twin brother worked together to take down a shark with nothing but a fishing spear each, a feat only the best fishermen can achieve, earning them mirrored tattoos.
