Tiefling

The blood of extraplanar devils from long ago runs in their veins, twisting their humanoid appearance to demonic. Tieflings first came to Resa during the Astral Incursion fighting as foot soldiers for the devil commanders. Following the defection of multiple devil commanders, the foot soldiers followed suit and tried to integrate into Resian society. Most people didn't take to kindly to these new neighbors until the gods welcomed them as refugees.
As the tieflings settled in they proved themselves to be quite adept at espionage and the arcane. After the war and the Sundering they once again became outsiders as survivors sought a scapegoat for the disappearance of the Starsouls. Many tieflings started worshipping Phyridan, the Dreamwalker, during this period. Those that converted claimed Phyridan is responsible for their rebellion. Seemingly cursed, even adopting the religion played against the tieflings with Phyridan being seen as the traitor god after the war.
Despite this setback, tieflings continued to work hard for their new home, regaining trust as their communitees flourished. As they grew accustomed to Resa, tiefling culture changed from the that when they lived on the Infernal Planes. Due to their ancestors time serving in the Darkstar military, many tieflings seek independence and freedom. With their talent for magic and silver tongues, many tieflings take up travelling professions.
