The Astral Incursion

The first whisperings of the oncoming invasion were when the metallic dragons and dragonborn arrived in their golden ships. The warned the Starsouls and mortal kingdoms of Resa of the threat of the oncoming Darkstar Dynasty. The Darkstar Dynasty had taken control of their homeplane of Draconis long ago. The dragons joind the gods and mortals in their preparations for war. Kirajun and the finest dwarven and gnomish craftsmen worked to create the finest magitec, including the warforged. Talented warriors were gathered by Amajal and turned into the triton to fight by his side.
When Jericho and his great ships arrived the war officially started. Battles were waged all across Resa with massive casualties on both sides. The first of the Starsouls to disappear was Phyridan and later Kirajun went missing as well. The end of the war was marked by the Divine Sundering which only didn't result in total destruction due to the sacrifice of Sylvamym and Krytur. Part of Sylvamym's sacrifice was the creation of the Veil cutting of Resa from the rest of the greater universe, blocking any astral travel or communication.
The war has had long lasting effects on Resa nad her people despite ending around five centuries ago. Many of the mmnsters and other subordinates of the Darkstar Dynasty were left behind after the Veil cut of the remaining forces. They've continuously gathered in factions, causing all sorts of trouble for the people and nations of Resa.
