Hallownest

Hallownest was a permanent dream realm built around the dream kingdom of the same name. Its existence was maintained in perpetuity by the presence of a variety of "gods", including the Pale King, the White Lady , Unn, and the Radiance.
While the Kingdom of Hallownest was the centerpiece of the dream, other polities did exist within its borders. Most notable among these were the Mantis Tribe, the Mosskin, the Hive, Deepnest, and the Colosseum of Fools. Other civilizations had existed in the dreamspace before the Pale King destroyed them to build his kingdom, with the Black Hive and the Moth Tribe being especially prominent providers of dimensional stability.
The Kingdom of Hallownest eventually fell to a vengeful plague created by the Radiance. By then, the residents of the dream had lost all knowledge that they were in a dream world that required gods or other sources of dimensional stability to exist. As the gods died or left, the world became increasingly barren and unsuitable for life. In 23 ARL, Knight led the people of Hallownest to refuge in Renedge, where they founded Darkhome. The remaining sources of dimensional stability in the dream world, the corpse of Ngel Sfet and a communal bench in the town of Dirtmouth, were retrieved by Knight and Rodger Silverton later that year, and the dream of Hallownest dissipated.
