2023/09/13: Continued Adventures in Space Part 3 Report
General Summary
Buzz, Lillith, Johann, Kal'vus, Union, Sith, Zaran
The party collected themselves after the fight and ritual. Zeltheon was still covered in mythium, which was a distorted rainbow color. Buzz applied his many crafting skills to try to remove the mythium, and found that its responses to physical force varied wildly depending on where and how it was hit. When he tried to move it with an act of will, it didn't move, but it did change colors.
In the meantime, Kal'vus and Johann went to help Union get his fingers out of the holes in a wall he had jammed them into while he was in his mythium-making trance. Sith joined them and reduced him dramatically to get him free.
Lillith set about gathering the loot that had started coming out of the walls. Buzz determined that the mythium was multicolored in many other dimensions as well.
Buzz finally managed to get some of the mythium off. Zeltheon is a muscular, handsome man with pale skin and black hair. Is finally able to speak clearly. Apparently he accidentally made a deal with a god of darkness after all of his party members died and he was stuck in a dark pit. The god did get him out of the pit...
After some discussion and finishing looting, the party headed back out the way they came. They managed to get back to the ship without issues. Once they climbed aboard, they started to go through the collected loot. Among them was a tiny flying manta ray that seemed friendly and turned out to be a miniaturized spelljammer, known as a smalljammer.
The party's ship left the mountain without further conflict and headed onward towards the mysterious coordinates in the asteroid field.
After more time traveling, the ship finally got close to the goal, which was also the territory of a lot of small-sized hostile earth elemental beings that managed to get a few hundred of themselves on board. They earth-passed through the hull to attack fairly evenly throughout the ship. They said "NYARR" a lot and seemed not so intelligent, proving to be challenging to some of the crew but not the adventurers, who bolstered the crew with magic and provided additional numbers with wolves, Muppets, and even a dozen kobolds.
Being outside the invisible spell jammer proved to be far more perilous, where a certain psychic rogue and sunset crystal dragon were beset by literally millions of the small beasts. The elementals were able to hurl themselves catapult-like by forming huge groups of themselves into large stone structures, making makeshift trebuchets to bombard the intruders despite their high flight, maneuverability and protective magics. Hurt by the onslaught after going on a draconic rampage that killed hundreds, the adventurers evaded by going invisible. They found the creatures were intelligent enough to keep attacking but were unable to aim properly at an invisible evading target.
Facing overwhelming numbers, the party backed off to seek other ways through and reconnoiter the area.
