Project Atom

Project Atom was a Project that was designed to further the spread of Renewable Energy. House wanted to build a new Energy Foundation to fundamentally transform how the US would be built. The idea was to build massive Fusion Nuclear Powerplants across the country that'd outdo and outperform all Fission Plants. Piling Billions of USD over the years to see every major city switched to Nuclear Fusion with Major Solar, Wind and Hydro Supplements to ensure diversity in supply and to make good on Green Advancements.
  The Problem was again horrendous Corruption, which disabled these Plants from being as common as the House intended. Only the Major cities had power and large segments of the country still running on decaying Power plants run by Corporations, Raiders and Wasteland Groups.
  They also fell behind in advancements when compared to South America which outpaced them in Distribution of Power and Generation of Power. This began cutting into the overall Advantage the United States had against its Enemies.
  By 2058, the Project was considered a Partial Success and abandoned completely, Leaving rotting remains of incomplete Fusion Reactors across the country that was scrapped and salvaged for parts by the government, some being occupied by Raider groups or worse.
  One of the most successful parts of the Project however was replacing the Combustion Engine with Electric Ones that could be Solar, or nuclear-powered. Most Systems now run on Green Power rather than fossil fuels.
