With Information of incoming Technology leaps, President Winston Hill signs into law 'The Guardian Act' which would oversee the expansion of the Space Force. On top of viewing Space Activity above Earth, countering ballistic missile and guarding hyper valuable satellites from destruction. The Space Force will now be expected to train the Space Marine Corps.
The Marine Corps in the US Navy will now have a branch in the Space Force to serve as Quick Responders. Until certain technologies are unlocked and utilised, The Space Marines would continue all standard Marine Corps Operations but also receive increased training, Equipment training and 'Orbitrooper' training.
Burrowing from the fictional idea of the UNSC's ODSTs, US Command recognised that Orbital Flight would open up the possibility of Orbital Deployments as well as a growing number of increasingly advanced Satellites and likely one day, Space Stations will require Specialised marines.
The Marines would also be voluntarily experimented on with revolutionary technologies such as "Anti-Rad" Drugs, Exo-Skeletons, Proto-Mechs and experimenting with Robotic Integrated Warfare and strategy.
The Act also saw the Re-integration of the Airforce as the 'Combined Sphere Protection Command' basically meaning that Space Force and Air Force Commands will have shared communications and be encouraged to cooperate with each other, as US High Command recognises that Aircraft will only continue to advance and that one day, Aircraft and Spacecraft could be the same thing in Military technologies with Hybrid Craft.
As such, Combined Sphere Protection Command will oversee the naturalisation of operations and ensure that both Military branches work in harmony with each other.
