General Cassius Grant
Biography
Born in El Paso, Texas with Two White parents. Cassius grew up in poverty where he went to a low end school, flunked most of his subjects and washed out of school at the age of 15. As a Teen he worked a dead end job in a gas station, servicing customers out in the middle of no where. In 2005 he signed up to the military where he'd serve out multiple tours. Swiftly becoming hooked to the military life, Cassius tossed aside all remaining ties to his civilian life and dedicated himself wholly to the military. Serving across multiple deployments throughout multiple divisions. As a CO in 2015, he pushed for serious military intervention in Syria against a radical Islamist group rampaging through the country at the time. Supporting Presidential Candidate Winters, throughout Winter's term as president, Cassius became a top general and was promoted to 0-10, however he began to turn against interventionism as the Middle East Situation failed to improve despite the signing of peace deals. By 2020, Cassius opposed President Winters after he became worried about the possibility of World War 3. After President Hill's election victory, Cassius pushed for serious intervention against the Jan 6 rioters but was prevented and instead became a faithful General of Hill. However as the situation around the globe continued to decay and the US seemed less and less interested in fixing it. He eventually became disillusioned with America including a selection of various COS and many NCO's. In World War 3 Cassius focused on home defense, watching in horror as his country aids the Neo Axis and then more horror ensued at America's purposeful neglect of saving the rest of the world from Nuclear annihilation. Fully disillusioned with America he gathered those loyal to him and fled away from the cities, doing little to contradict Supreme President Henry House and instead focused on trying to protect Americans as the American Wastes began to take form. In 2070 he became an Android and also was increasingly worried about the safety of the wastes from the Federal Republic. Beginning a 7 year plan to prepare the wastes for the possibility of invasion. On 2077, 3rd of July his worse nightmare became a reality. He became a Military leader leading a resistance against the federal Government. In 2078 he continues a complicated set of campaigns, fighting a brutal war of attrition and death. Trying to keep his soldiers alive while also fighting the far larger, neo American Military.Personality
He very much fits the gruff US general stereotype with a thick Texean Accent. He regularly smokes and takes very few breaks. He is not a 1 dimensional person however, he's lived through war throughout his entire adult life and has seen countless atrocities and made many, many, many mistakes. His ability to keep his cool is unrivalled but even he snaps and losses it time to time. He still sees Federal soldiers as brothers and sisters in arms, and is torn to shreds over killing them but at the same time, believes it to be necessary to save the country so many servicemen, Women and otherwise had bled and died for. He's also extremely good at playing the harmonica and is very literal, sometimes missing the beat when someone tells him a joke. His biggest flaw is his anger and frustration, sometimes prone to brash decisions that he somewhat makes up for in his ability to preform well during bad situations. He trusts his soldiers, his equipment and his mind. Letting his soldiers make decisions when they need to and stepping in when he must. His frustration stems from his guilt, believing himself partly responsible for whats happened to America. Despite being a military man, he's lost the idea that guns and bullets can solve everything. Believing that the endless wars the Republic got it's self in was a massive mistake and did little good for anyone and certainly did not aid in the spread of democracy. He hopes to retire when the third civil war concludes, perhaps go home back to El Paso and live our the rest of his days as a Rancher.
