House Rules for Reluria

Combat variants, PvP, Multiclassing and Inspiration

  • Use the existing Character Creation rules
  • Use the Sensitive Topics and Pause for Second options.
  • Limits of Mortals: Mortal heroes in Reluria have it tough when it comes to healing and resting .
  • Better Healing Potions: Healing potions restore the maximum number of hit points. Example: A 2D4+2 potion grants you 10 hit points. Potions can only be drunk as an action.
  • Duel Wielding: When you take the Attack Action on your turn and attack with a Light weapon in one hand, you can make one extra attack as part of the same Action. That extra attack must be made with a different Light weapon in the other hand, and you don’t add your Ability Modifier to the extra attack’s damage. You can make this extra attack only once on each of your turns. Example: You take the Attack Action on your turn and have a Shortsword in one hand and a Dagger in the other—each of which has the Light property—you can make one attack with each weapon, but you don’t add your Strength or Dexterity Modifier to the damage roll of the second weapon.
  • Player Character v. Player Character: Player versus player combat does not occur unless there is a valid story reason (sparring practice, contests of strength or skill, etc). If arguments escalate between characters, we will pause the session before things get to combat and discuss.
  • Conjure spells: To keep combat moving and avoid excessive amounts of additional combatants, any spells that create creatures and start with "conjure" can not be used. Instead the variant "summon" versions in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything can be selected instead.
  • Multiclassing: Must have a valid story reason for occurring and you need to work with the DM to ensure it fits in the story and setting.
  • Advancement: Advancement is based on mission/assignment completion.
  • Inspiration Point: You get an inspiration point each time you level up or complete a mission. Use the inspiration to re-roll a d20 result and pick the preferred result. Inspiration points do not stack - use it or lose it.
