Sensitive Topics and Pause for Second

Pause for a Second Use this verbal cue to interrupt the current in-world scene, break character and discuss the current situation. Players or the DM can say the phrase "pause for a second", and we will take a break in the action to discuss what is happening.   This can be used if the description is getting to much. For example, "Pause for a second. I don't need to hear the details of torturing the NPC for the information." Or if you want to make sure everyone is on board for the current situation (even the quiet folks). For example, "Pause for a second. Is everyone OK making this deal with the tyrant who just enslaved all the halflings?"   There is no judgement to ask us to pause the game and make sure we are all on the same page.   Sensitive topics The following table is of sensitive topics. Reach out to me if any of the topics would be better shifted to Hard Line, Veiled or if you'd like me to add another topic to this table.   I want to make sure everyone is comfortable during the game.
  • Hard Line - will not be part of the game
  • Veiled - part of the game, but not described directly, or we fade to black, or is referenced in conversation).
  • N/A - this may occur in the game and I will not take any specific precautions
