Bantia (Bawn-tee-a)
Elder Bantia Listbyrn (a.k.a. The old lady)
Used to be we didn't fear the dead. We marsh dwellers accepted it and the path Nyk provides. But as time has passed, the unrest has become worse. Having the chapel wasn't enough, we needed the wards. And now, even those fail us. More and more I realize that the Age of Chaos is truly upon us.

Personal history
The Listbyrn family lived in Marish since the end of the Liberation of the North. Bantia will often tell stories of her grandfather's exploits in the early days of the town, and dealing with the undead and bizarre beasts within. Bantia was always a prominent member of the town, even in her youth, where she served in the militia and did battle with undead that would sometimes wander out of Skullmire Marsh and into the town.
She had a natural beauty that attracted many suitors, but Bantia never married. She often says that fate had turned its back on her early on, but never elaborates on it. In many ways she became the unofficial leader of Marish in her 30s and obtained the official position about a decade later.
Accomplishments & Achievements
As a youth she was known for her fearlessness in the face of the undead. These days she is known for protecting the towns interests and people. She is also known for taking in the Felheart boy when his family was killed in the Marsh.
Failures & Embarrassments
Some in town see Bantia's dismissal of House Majus and the folk in the fort as a detriment to the health of the village, especially in these times.
