Primordial of Water

Primordial of Water is one of the Powers, the godlike rulers of both the Material Reality and the Elsewheres. It is unknown how she looks, but some Initiates believe Water portrays herself as a beautiful women due to the fact that her various demihumans tend to be considered beautiful women by conventional standards, even if said beautiful "female" demihuman is actually a man.

Her exact location is unknown, but some scholars theorise the existence of an Elsewhere where the only landmass are continents or islands of ice that is the home of the Primordial of Water.

It is categorized as a Primordial due to its absolute moral neutrality and the connection to the natural elements. Primordial of Water only cares about the presence of water in any and all of its forms.

Tenets of Faith

A core tenet common to all cults worshipping the Primordial of Water is treating water itself as sacred, with this sort of religious ferver becoming more pronounced in arid regions where water is scarcer.

Outside of arid regions, the cults of water tend to locate their headquarters right next to bodies of water. Lifeguards at the beach or large pools and even innocuous fishermen could be Water Cultists. Groups dedicated to cleaning trash and other pollutants from the seas often include, if not solely staffed by, Water Cultists adhering to their doctrine of respecting water itself.

Some Water Cults specialise in the Aspect of Ice, especially if they live in countries closer to the North or South Poles or high in the snowy mountains. These Ice Cults sometimes pose as hikers, mountain rangers, or ski lodge operators and treat ice sculpting as a sacred activity.

Because of how their activities tend to be beneficial, Cults of Water tend to be tolerated by their local Mages, unless they go too far and engage in eco-terrorism.
