The Marich family resides within the manor, which is envied far and wide as one of the most resplendent estates in the kingdom.

Location

Nestled in a serene forested area north-west of Razpotye, Marich Manor lies just beyond the city's moat and through rolling fields. The surrounding forest covers a small collection of hills and is part of the Marich estate. It is protected by the Lord and serves as a hunting ground for the nobility. Beyond the forest, the land flattens into open fields that stretch towards the horizon.

The Manor

Marich Manor is an elegant mansion, featuring two main floors, an attic, and a spacious cellar. The heart of the manor is its grand central hall, dominated by a roaring fireplace, long banquet tables, and an intricate chandelier that casts a warm glow over the space. The east wing houses the family and servants’ quarters, complete with living spaces, a kitchen, and a modest parlor. The west wing is reserved for leisure and study, containing a ballroom, baths, a well-stocked library, and Lord Staryan’s private office.

Gardens & Grounds

The estate is renowned for its meticulously maintained gardens. The lower garden features a picturesque avenue lined with trees, flanked by vibrant flower beds and small, reflective ponds. At its center, a graceful stone fountain marks the transition to the upper garden via a double-tiered stone stairway.
The upper garden hosts the estate’s main courtyard, centered around another ornate fountain. A stable and a charming pavilion provide practical and leisurely functions, with the pavilion offering a view of the lower gardens below. Beyond the courtyard lies a hedge maze, adding an air of mystery and elegance to the grounds.
The entire estate is enclosed by tall steel fencing, with the main gate and a discreet side door leading to the forest being the only known access points. However, rumors persist of a secret escape route hidden somewhere within the grounds, known only to the Lord himself.
