Severin Manor

Ownership

Trigor Severin, the notorious, cynical Baron of Starigrad, is the current lord of Severin Manor.   The Severins, a long-standing noble lineage, are reputed for their significant contributions to the establishment of modern Ardechia following the downfall of the Masonite Kingdom, and have often been granted many concessions by ruling Kings. Noted for their ruthless efficiency, calculating nature, and distinctive pale complexion, they exude a formidable aura that leaves many feeling disconcerted.   Their governance of Starigrad has been marked by an impressive blend of administrative prowess and shrewd negotiation. Yet, unsettling rumours persist - whispers of people vanishing within the confines of Severin Manor, never to be seen or heard from again.

Location

Perched near the summit of Valewood Hill, Severin Manor resides within the affluent High Town district of Starigrad, offering a sweeping vista of the city sprawled below. Enclosed by towering walls, it stands as a secure fortress, shielding the manor and its verdant gardens from prying eyes while allowing its inhabitants an unobstructed view from its upper stories and balconies.   The manor itself is a sprawling architectural marvel, featuring a grand central hall that houses a prestigious library, a gaming room, a banquet hall, a ballroom, and the Baron's private study. Leisure facilities dominate the southern wing, while the northern wing hosts the residential quarters. A majestic stairway ascends to the manor's front door, flanked by elevated terraces adorned with meticulously pruned trees, shrubs, and clinging vines.   Severin Manor, being private property, falls outside the jurisdiction of the City Guard. Instead, it is vigilantly patrolled by the Baron's private security - commonly referred to by locals as ''the Baron's goons''. These guards, more intimidating and resilient than the average man, are recognized by their pallor and the elegant black uniforms they don. Some attribute their aptitude to rigorous training and extensive experience, while others murmur about the influence of magic. Yet, if such sorcery is at play, it has successfully eluded the detection of the Masonites thus far.
