Ivon Tarnowski

Biography

Ivon Tanrowski, born into a wealthy family in the heart of Starigrad, was always fascinated by the inner workings of clockwork mechanisms and the potential they held for the future. Despite his family's wealth, they were dismissive and even ridiculed his unorthodox ideas, his father having even had burned his sketches and urging him to stick to their family business, which was tried and true, forcing him to keep his passion a secret for many years. As a result, Ivon developed trust issues, feeling alienated from his own family and misunderstood by those around him.   After inheriting his family's fortune upon their passing, Ivon finally had the resources and freedom to bring his dream to life. He invested his inheritance into building a grand workshop and delved into creating an Clockwork Automaton. Despite the skepticism he faced, Ivon persevered and eventually achieved his goal, earning him widespread acclaim and admiration from the nation.   However, this newfound success came at a price. Ivon's already fragile ego grew inflated, and he became increasingly aloof, considering very few people worthy of his time. He chose to seclude himself within his workshop, focused solely on his inventions and shunning the outside world. His genius, once a source of inspiration, now became a means for personal gain, even at the expense of others.   As the years passed, Ivon aged into a bitter old man, still locked away in his workshop and laboratory, consumed by his work. Rarely seen outside, he continues to create new inventions and innovations, all the while nurturing the deep-seated resentment towards a world that once mocked his dreams.

Personality

Ivon Tanrowski is a complex and enigmatic individual, driven by his passion for invention and his unwavering belief in his own genius. Possessing a keen intellect and an unyielding determination, he is fiercely independent and unafraid to challenge conventional wisdom. His trust issues, stemming from his family's dismissal of his ideas, have left him wary of others and reluctant to form close relationships.   As his inventions garnered success and recognition, Ivon's ego grew alongside his achievements, leading him to become increasingly arrogant and self-absorbed. He is prone to viewing others with disdain, believing that very few can match his level of intellect or creativity. This sense of superiority has caused him to become distant and aloof, often dismissing the opinions and feelings of those around him.

Inventions

Clockwork Automatons

Ivon Tarnowski's Clockwork Automaton inventions revolutionized the industry in Starigrad and beyond. As more and more factories adopted his creations, productivity soared, and a new era of mechanization dawned. Tarnowski's innovations earned him immense wealth and prestige, as he held patents for these groundbreaking technologies and collected handsome profits from their sales and use.   However, the widespread adoption of Tarnowski's automatons had unintended consequences. As industries became more automated, the demand for human labor decreased significantly. Countless workers found themselves replaced by efficient, tireless machines, leading to widespread unemployment and economic hardship for many families. The once proud and skilled craftsmen saw their livelihoods vanish, as they could no longer compete with the precision and endurance of the automatons.   As the situation grew direr, public opinion turned against Tarnowski. People began to see him as a heartless profiteer, responsible for the suffering of countless individuals who lost their jobs to his inventions. Angry protests erupted outside his workshop, and his name became synonymous with the dark side of progress. While Ivon Tarnowski's genius had undoubtedly pushed the boundaries of technology, it also revealed the stark reality that progress often comes at a steep cost.
