Description

The Clockwork Automaton is a mobile autonomous construct, built for varying purposes.
Invented by Ivon Tarnowski, Clockwork Automatons are towering humanoid machines whose frames consist of numerous interconnected metal components. To safeguard the delicate inner mechanisms from the elements, their bodies are encased in thin metal or wooden panels, which also serve as protective armor.
The head and body of an automaton are mechanically connected, while the arms and legs are magnetically attached. This design allows for a quick and efficient swap of appendages, allowing for an automaton to be swiftly tailored to suit varying tasks. Once the appropriate limbs are in place, they are mechanically locked to ensure they remain secure, even when subjected to significant force or weight.
Each automaton's head houses a pair of costly, high-quality optics, enabling the construct to perceive its surroundings. This critical feature allows the automaton to navigate effectively and execute its assigned tasks with precision.

Types

There are several classes of automaton, each built for their own purposes:

• Sentry-Bot: The Sentry-Bot is a formidable, heavily-armored clockwork automaton designed to serve as an unwavering guardian. Standing at an imposing height and outfitted with an array of weaponry, the Sentry-Bot is a fearsome deterrent to any would-be intruders. While not as agile and intelligent as an ordinary soldier, its unwavering loyalty and tireless vigilance make it a reliable and efficient guard.
• Worker-Bot: The Worker-Bot is a versatile, medium-sized automaton engineered for a variety of repetitive, mundane tasks. Equipped with a multitude of adaptable appendages, it can easily be customized for different jobs in assembly lines or manufactories. Its durable clockwork design allows it to maintain consistent productivity without the need for rest, making it an invaluable asset in any industrial setting.
• Hauler-Bot: The Hauler-Bot is a large, robust clockwork automaton designed to transport heavy loads and cargo with ease.
