Rylvan was the man responsible for creating The Unbound, a group of people who chose to sear The God-Mark off their bodies and in turn chose to worship something else or no one at all. Rylvan famously worshiped no god or figure and encouraged other Unbound to do the same. However, many Unbound chose to instead worship The Creator, seeing him as the basis for all life.
While he managed to convince some people to turn from their gods, the impact he had on the Religion of the Creator as a whole was more widespread. He was discussed across the world and when he came to speak in different towns, people would go just to hear him speak. Even people who wanted to continue worshiping their god often found him to be well-spoken and passionate in his work.

Personal history

Rylvan allegedly turned away from the gods after his little sister, Amailya, was killed following a bandit raid on his town. He claimed that the gods held no love for even their most faithful followers and spent over 3 years searching across the continent for something to rid himself of his God-Mark.
Once he had successfully found a paste made of beetles from an island off the coast of Wirrowwir, he burned his God-Mark off and began to travel again, this time to try and show people there was another way to live.

Circumstances of Death

Rylvan was assassinated during a carriage ride back to his home in the middle of the night. The carriage was knocked off the road by an unknown force and he was stabbed to death.
