Gornir

“Have you been to the Wine Heaven Outpost? They make most of the famous wines you have probably consumed. Beholder Wine? Dragon’s Breath? Dark Toil? All from Wine Heaven Outpost. Some say that Elizabeth has a green thumb. Others suspect that she hires druids to keep alter the plants. Me? I don’t think it really matters the wine is worth whatever she does.”   ~ Trader

Government

The leader of the Gornir is Baroness Elizabeth Valor. She owes no fidelity to any over arching political powers in the Hinterlands and remains neutral in any issues between different political powers. The Baroness is actually selected as a neutral party to make judgements on disputes and ensure deals are fair.   The laws of Gornir are based around the routing, taxing, buying, and selling of goods and services. Most of the tax rates for gods and services are pretty low due to the amount of wine that the trading post sells.

Defences

Gornir provides it's own defensive forces internally to deter political conflict with the other territories around it. Most of the forces are infantry forces with some trained in the art of Calvary. There are three captains that maintain the order and discipline of the defensive forces.   Around the city is a stone wall peppered with towers across all cardinal directions and a few others in areas with low visability.

Industry & Trade

The most common form of income for Gornir is the selling of high quality wines that have an amazing reputation around the world. The taxes and cost of processing, maintaining, and shipping goods across the Hinterlands is another way that the trade post stays afloat. Baroness Valor is has started to make attempts to steer away from being a trade outpost.

Assets

The main assets of Gornir is the vineyards that produce the grapes and other fruits that allow for the crafting of the high quality wines that they're known for. All of the vineyards are owned by the Baroness and are tended to by workers or prisoners whom are working off their punishments.
