Over the years the dark lord Estaroth has been known by many names, The Lord of Agony, The Trickster Tyrant, The Immortal Shadow, just to name a few. In his many lives and personas, one thing has always been clear, he is the most dangerous being to have ever walked Raxodan.
Origins
Estaroth is a dark sorcerer who’s goal has been the complete domination of the mortal realm, wielding his great power without need for divinity to enslave the minds of mortals and conquer all that would oppose him. His ambition is endless and his craving for power infinite.
Believed to have been born during the War of Divinity, he is a product of death and the destructive nature of the age of annihilation.
The Fall of Estaroth
57 years ago, from present day, Estaroth used his dark powers to raise armies of darkness, hellish fiends and the undead in an attempt to destroy the combined forces of Fonvelenor and The Sacred Fields of Arn.
His attempts to corrupt the lands and shape them to his image were thwarted by the group known as The Mythmakers. The Mythmakers fought back against the dark lord forcing his retreat to his tower, where he conjured his legions of the damned.
However, with the powers of their holy relics, The Mythmakers freed the undead from Estaroth’s control and they rebelled against him.
In their final confrontation, The Mythmakers fought against Estaroth until it was revealed that the hero Elandael was secretly a follower of Estaroth and betrayed her friends, killing Ekon and fleeing the battle. Although broken, the remaining heroes still managed to kill Estaroth, destroying him and his legacy once and for all. A victory Raxodan will never forget.
