The History of Ravenloft so far
The Dark Powers may just... form things to make people believe their home has existed for longer, but nothing really lived in the domain proper before the current groups of people. The only areas with real history are those like Barovia that were lifted from another section of reality.
Current Species & Cultures
Each domain holds a fully functioning society who are often completely unique. However the two largest and most notable are Darkon, a large domain with an over-reverence of the dead and the most varied population in the demi-plane, and Barovia, a drab country of constant fear that was once rather warlike.
Needs & Relations
Most domains keep to themselves as travel between proves difficult. The fuged and Vistani tribes that go between still find a large demand for foreign goods as many of the advanced domains (such as Paridon) find it difficult to get the more basic amenities the less scientific domains find easy. Barovian wine for a snooty noble of a grape-less domain here, glassware from Mordent for an alchemist there...
