Skrapr (Sc-rap-ar)

The Warrior race of scrap.

Biology

Skrapr are anthropoids that have naturally thin skin that is sensitive at a young age, due to the rough conditions in Abyssia Realm. To compensate for their weak skin, Skraprs cover their bodies in scrap metal, bonding to the skin using the power of their Mana ability, acting as a predominant layer of protection. Skraprs will take on many sets of scrap during puberty, until around the age of 15-24 years of age, where a Skrapr will take on their final set. However, the set can be changed or repaired if damaged in battle.  

Location

The Skrapr race was once native to Abyssia Realm, primarily living within the cities of Oblivion and Aetheria. However, after the fall of the Abyss, most Skrapr population fled to Terranial. The majority of the Skrapr race now resides within towns and cities across Terranial, mainly within the Skrapr Capital, Undulion.  

Population

The Skrapr population is the highest of all Abyssian races, mainly due to events of The Great Abyssian War, with the population sitting at a steadily growing 18,000. Most Skraprs live within the domain of Undulion, in the Terranial Realm.  

Lifestyle

Most Skraprs live alongside the Twi, even though the Twi's low population. This is because of the great relationship between Twi and Skrapr races. The population centre with the highest Skrapr population being Undulion, the Skrapr and Twi Capital. Due to The Great Abyssian War, Skraprs and Olympions work together to revive the now wasteland of Abyssia.  

Nature

The members of the Skrapr race are humble in nature, they wish for peace, and will always look for a better option than violence. However, they shouldn't be mistaken for weak, as Skraprs are some of the finest warriors in Ravaryn. Skraprs in nature enjoy creating collections of specific items, based on individual preferences, although it is unknown as to why this is a trend for members of the race.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Skraprs have very good relations with Twi, as they live alongside one another and share the same resources. Skraprs also has great relations with the Olympion race. Due to events during The Great Abyssian War, and working alongside each other in the rebuilding of Abyssia.

Capital State:

The Capital State of the Skrapr is the floating nation of Undulion . This metropolis is a marvel of engineering and Mana control. The city levitates 1.6 miles (2.57 km) above sea level. The goliath city sits above the Marnian Sea in the realm of Terranial Realm. The city keeps itself afloat using the power of the biggest Mana crystal known named Undlion, named after the man who discovered it, Undlion Harp. This crystal once belonged to the King of the Abyssia Realm, before he met his fate. The crystal being previously used to float a city under construction by the Aetherian Empire. Undulion uses the aid of ancient steam technology all throughout it's streets, similar to the Abyss near the start of the Great Abyssian War. The city adopts the use of wing-like protrusions around the edge of the city, these help generate lift, supporting the Undulion crystal. Alongside these are an assembly of large counterweights in the lower rings of the city, this helps stabilize Undulion. The city is a massive island suspended in the sky, similar to Islands of Abyssia Realm, but far lower to the surface, as the technology/Mana power does not exist to allow the city to float higher. Around the edge of the island is a massive golden colour ring, with smaller rings attached to the island as it peaks at the bottom. The top half of the city is flat terrain where the main city is. With a large citadel situated in the middle, built up into a peak like shape. The city is only accessible by use of aircraft, of which only the residents of the city have access to the technology to build. Due to the discovery of ancient technology within the Abyss. However, other races may enter only if welcomed, as the Skrapr believe that providing the rest of Ravaryn with such technology would spark devastating war, like the events of the Great Abyssian War.

Natural Magic Ability

The Natural Magic Ability of the Skrapr is known as Bonding. This ability allows a Skrapr to bond pieces of scrap to their skin across their bodies, making up for the race's weaker skin. This ability and it's effects rapidly increase during puberty, allowing for scrap pieces to be bonded to the body permanently.
