Family Origins
The Steel Family originated in the town of in Abyssia. The family was well regarded for their brilliant line of blacksmiths, however we not well known outside the town. The family remained in until 11bc, where the heads of the family at the time, Joseph and Helvr Steel, decided to move to the Capital of the Empire, Aetheria. This was done to expand their blacksmithing business. The family gained a name for themselves and were known as premium blacksmithers. Then 13 years later, in 2bc, they had a child called Gabriel Steel. However the families reputation started to go down as the family was stricken with the Plague going around the city, causing the quality of their blade work to diminish. The Plague caused Joseph to die in 14ac, ruining the families reputation and the family was faced with discrimination from then onwards. Then just over 10 years later in 25ac, Helvr died of unrelated health conditions. Then a year later, their son, Gabriel Steel met his love, Aneita. They later married and had a child of their own, called Dralf Steel. The family then moved to the new nation of Oblivion, due to a invitation from the leader of the city, Lord Cross, as he was good friends with Gabriel's parents, Joseph and Helvr. The family lived together peacefully until 40ac, when the city was taken over by the Aetherian Royal Military, resulting in Lord Cross's death and the separation of Gabriel, Damion and Aneita. Gabriel then founded a rebellion in Oblivion with his son, then adopting a Skrapr boy called Relliard, who was around the same age as Damion. The rebellion later went on to take over the city and Gabriel was made New Lord of Oblivion. The 'Steel' name because of this became well regarded all over Abyssia, with Gabriel being known as a champion and role model to many. Gabriel, Damion and Relliard trained together and became strong warriors. In 53ac, the King Of Abyssia, Scalious Aether II, became worried of Gabriel and calling for his assassination, which failed. In retaliation, Gabriel declared War on the Empire, shocking everyone in Abyssia as he stood up to the King. This caused the Steel family to lead the Allied Forces in the War, first lead by Gabriel Steel, then later being lead by Dralf Steel after Gabriel's untimely death. Dralf proceeded to lead the Allied Forces to victory and Kill the King, avenging his father Gabriel's death. However in the fight for Aetheria, Relliard had perished. The head of the family, Dralf Steel now leads the city of Undulion in the Terranial Realm.Family Genetics

Old ancestors of the Steel Family created a claymore using all the techniques they knew as legendary craftsmen. This claymore holds the name of every fallen member of the Steel family tree, engraved along the blades ridge. It has been passed down through the generations, with the youngest engraving the name of their dead predecessors that came before them that held the claymore. The claymore taking up the latest name as it's title, to respect the fallen. It is rumoured that infused in the blade is the mana of every member of the family that held the sword before.
