Undulion (Un-due-lee-on)
Undulion is the Capital City for the races of Skrapr and Twi. The City hovers above the Marnian Sea. The city keeps itself afloat using the power of the biggest mana crystal known named Undlion, named after the man who discovered it, Undlion Harp. This crystal once belonged to the King of the Abyssia Realm, before he met his fate. The crystal was previously used to float a city under construction by the Aetherian Empire, known as Alitr. Undulion uses the aid of ancient steam technology all throughout it's streets, similar to the Abyss near the start of the Great Abyssian War. The city adopts the use of wing-like protrusions around the edge of the city, these help generate lift, supporting the Undulion crystal. Along side these is an assembly of large counter weights in the lower rings of the city, this helps stabilise Undulion.
The city is a massive island suspended in the sky, similar to Islands of Abyssia Realm, but far lower to the surface, as the technology/mana power does not exist to allow the city to float higher. Around the edge of the the island is a massive golden colour ring, with smaller rings attached to the island as it peaks at the bottom. The top half of the city is flat terrain where the main city is built upon. With a large citadel situated in the middle, built up into a peak like shape.
The city is only accessible by use of aircraft, of which only the residents of the city have access to the technology to build. Due to the discovery of ancient technology within the Abyss. However other races may enter only if welcomed, as the Skrapr believe that providing the rest of Ravaryn with such technology would spark devastating war, like the events of the Great Abyssian War.
Demographics
The City is primarily inhabited by members of the Skrapr and Twi races. However a small amount of Aetherians also call the city a home. Despite the larger amount of the population being Skraprs, all races are treated equally in the city.
Government
The Leading power is based on a Lord who is elected by the people of the city. The person elected Lord with be in charge of all political matters, however the lord will choose their own council to help with his/her endeavours. Every 4 years a new Lord may be elected or the Lord can be re-elected, or the Lord can pass down the Leadership to a suitable replacement.
Defences
The city is extremely hard to attack as it is located in the sky, on top of this, only Undulion and the [Placeholder] Cities in Tempest has access to the technology of early blimp aircrafts. This means that an exterior attack is near to impossible to attempt.
Infrastructure
Undulion is considered by many to be the most technologically advanced city in all three Realms. As it uses both the natural capabilities of Mana and the knowledge of ancient technology to develop an artificial marvel of steam power and steel work.
Guilds and Factions
Undulion is home to some of the most prestigious scientific and mystical Societies in all of Ravaryn.
Examples of this are The Saviour Society and The Aldric Mana Research Society.
History
Due to the events at the end of The Great Abyssiam War, the artificial city known as Alitr was destroyed before it could ever be fully constructed, in the process, it fell and crushed the Connection city of Absol. The Allied forces of the Skrapr, Twi and Olympions set out to clean up the ruins. This is where Undulions construction starting in late 59ac, after the mana crystal known as 'Undlion' was discovered in the ruins of Absol and Alitr. While cleaning up the ruins of Absol, scrap and technology remaining from Alitr was repurposed to create a new artificial city with the help of the Undlion mana crystal. This lead to the creation of Undulion.
Geography
The city levitates 1.6 miles above sea level. The goliath city sits above the Marnian Sea in the realm of the Terranial Realm.
