Shadiym, in a fit of unbridled rage, descends from the heavens for unknown reasons to swallow the southern peninsula of Haven. The Primeval Expanse, homeland of the Saheels, is obliterated from the continent and brings the Crocodilefolk to the brink of extinction. The Shardtooth Range rose from the earth and halted the torrential ocean floodwaters that cleansed the region of life. Following the disaster, Shadiym cused the land with an eternal draught that gave birth to the inhospitable salt desert that makes up the Parched Expanse today.
