Personal history
Ori started out with a very challenging life. He is from a not so wealthy town out in the country, and grew up with an abusive father. He lived in a small house out in the forest with a beautiful lake in his backyard. Both of his parents would frequently leave to sell their woodworking goods in bigger towns, so every few months he would have a few weeks to himself. One day while his parents were out of town he looked outside his back window to see a stranger sleeping out in the grass. Ori then went outside to try to shoo the stranger of off his land, but when he went out to see them he saw the most beautiful man he had ever seen in his life. He then woke the sleeping man, and instead of sending him off he instead invited him in. He learned his name was Korva.
Ori and Korva then became close over the following weeks, and eventually became romantic but they never got too far. They learned all about each other and Ori was even told secrets such as Korva’s relation to the Raven Queen. But eventually Ori’s parents came home to find this stranger staying at their house, and immediately put Korva to work for his stay. One night Ori woke up in the middle of the night to find that Korva was no longer in the bed with him. He then trekked out of bed to find where Korva had gone. While looking around the house for him, he thought to go ask his father (who works late into the night) if he saw if Korva went out for a walk or something to that extent. As he peered into the doorway of his father's workshop he saw his love, Korva, standing over the bloodied body of his father who lie dead on the ground. Ori gasped, which in turn alerted Korva to his presence. Korva then darted out the door and ran away into the night. Ori was left stunned.
