Phannall Mithr

Phannall Mithr is a legendary hero of old Soll and the founder of Port Mithr. He was the 2nd Patriarch of Soll and ruled the Realm of Soll from 777 AR to 1640 AR.

History

Ascension to Patriarch

Not much of Phannalls early years are recorded but he would ascend to the position of Patriarch in the year 777 AR at the age of 278. Phannalls early reign would consist of consolidating the still new Realms power and territories. Phannall saw the potential weakness for Soll to the east in the Bay of Iss as Soll did not retain any major ports there, while both Realms of Hald and Nhal had a significant presence over the bay. In the year 799 Phannall would found a city on the banks of the bay, in time the port would be known as the Port Mithr. It would however take another two millennia before Soll could contest the eastern waters.

Expansion & the 1st Soll-Hald War

In the year 904 AR a document was signed for the port city of Toldora's full integration into the Realm of Soll.
Border disputes to the northeast with the Realm of Hald would eventually break out into war in the year 966. Phannall would lay waste to the city of Holdray in 1021. The war would end in 1067 with the siege and fall of Hald'anor.
The 1st Soll-Hald War saw a decisive victory for the Sollrai. A fourth of Hald would be annexed and an alliance pact was forced upon the Realm of Hald. On the 100 anniversary of the peace deal Phannall would found the city of Haymirr on the taken land from Hald close to their border.

Nhalrai Invasion & Later Reign

In the year 1291 the Realm of Nhal would invade Hald trying to seize their northern border. Phannall, being vary of Nhal growing to strong, would aid Hald repel the invaders.
In 1377 Phannall would negotiate Talrokora's entrance into the Realm of Soll. Talrokora would be the last major independent city in Soll. By the last centuries of Phannall's reign most of Soll would be united under the Sollrai Realm. Only Ranora and the far west of Soll would remain semi-independent from the Realm of Soll for a while longer.

Death and Legacy

Phannall would die of old age in the year 1640 at the age of 1141. He ruled for 863 years, the longest in Sollrai history.
Phannall would leave a strong legacy behind him as he is considered one of the greatest heroes of Soll. One of the greatest military commanders and statesmen in Sollrai history, Phannall expanded and strengthened the Sollrai Realm significantly during is rule.
