Regent Myrkir Ardiylir
Regent Myrkir Ardiylir (a.k.a. The Flame)
Regent Myrkir is the snobbish and ambitious brother of Elder Therlain Ardiylir and current ruler of the Northern League of Asrinheim, the effective 'king' of the cities of Thevensyne, Mayrin, and Icespire. Tehcnically in conflict with The Piper, Myrkir is secretly in league with the returned Mothrar Gildaron as a member of The Dragon Clan known as 'The Flame.'
A proud man of noble origins, Myrkir has never been a fan of Gallus an their relationship with his nephew, Urmas Ardiylir, the heir of the family. Upon Gallus' indesecretions, and their eventual allegeiances with Doomed 2 Die - Myrkir branded them a traitor and would instruct their lackies in Icespire to arrest the fighter's family.
Still in Thevensyne, schemeing, the Regent steps careful between their public image and that of a Dragon Clan agent. Doing enough to look like they are challenging Gildaron, but not outright moving to defeat them.

Personal history
Born the second child of Erenia Ardiylir and Marithir Furyborn, Myrkir was born as the 4th in line to the eldership of his house. A studied and magically able young elf who worked hard with the rapier - Myrkir formed a close bond with their brother, Therlain, and cousins Talia and Varrus.
A regular fixture at grand dances, feasts, and balls throughout their early life, Myrkir came of age by learning advanced magic. They remained unmarried, with rumours around Thevensyne saying they harboured unrequieted feelings for Iraine Ardyilir, their brother's partner. Their cousin, Elder Varrus, would die in 650 fighting Aedrinaran raiders around the eastern isles and Myrkir became heir apparant as their brother, Theralin, assumed eldership.
Despite many courtings of them, Varrus remained unmarried and childless. Their brother would have a child, named Urmas, and due to the close age between Theralin and Myrkir, they openly said they would 'decline' the eldership upon their brothers death, making Urmas the heir apparent. Myrkir remained a reasonable voice at court, as the steward, advisor, and master of taxes and tributes.
Urmas would develop a strong bond with a fighter named Gallus, who trained as a psionic knight at the Monastery of the Astrailaighai and later served House Ardiylir as a soldier. Myrkir never approved this 'lowborn' upstart - the child of artesans, being so close with Urmas, or their bethrothed, Isa. When Gallus would leave court in scandal, Myrkir was glad of this and later branded the warrior a traitor to the realm.
At an unknown time, Myrkir had alligned themselves with The Dragon Clan, becoming one of their principal agents, earning the name of The Flame. It is likely they allowed Mothrar Gildaron to seize control in Iminiyas, and their actions against them since have been somewhat lacking, but not poor enough for anyone to suspect treason.
Heir of Furunheim Arc
With Gallus branded a traitor, word of them being wanted was spread through the isles. Some Ardiylir warriors were sent to Ferenvire to apprehend Gallus when they came to attend Elder Tiristar Furyborn's funeral - but were sent away by Arystyr Furyborn. The Suicide Squad
Myrkir was revealed as The Flame when Refid Wintershield, Mr. Blake, and Jarl Naerfi Oath-Knee sent agents known as The Suicide Squad into Iminiyas to find the identies of The Dragon Clan's agents in Asrinheim. Myrkir was observed by some invisible members of the order killing one of their guards and recruiting the other to the Dragon Clan network. They later joined the attack on the party, and patrolled the keep, narrowly missing an escaping Ciar. Their identity was recorded and taken back to Doomed 2 Die.
