Palthear

A small, provincial, and troubled nation, Palthear stands north of Liradel and Halkren , but south of Duvash. The mighty Sorne River empties into the Breican Sound on its eastern coast, and it is here that the Palthean people once landed on Caladin as a conquering army, many centuries ago. Little is left of their ancient empire, and legends say their mythic island home sunk into the sea in a great catastrophe.
The terms of the Corvas Accords were not favorable to the Paltheans, and, though their small lands have much in the way of natural resources, their noble house has been beset by a series of demagogues and degenerate kings, squandering what wealth the nation might have seen. There are a few elven enclaves still in palthear, though there is a growing distrust of the Fair Folk amongst the frightened and impoverished humans of the land, and treatment of half-elves has been swiftly worsening.
