High Chancellor Albert Johann Draíochta
Born in the small village of Ekszhai, Albert Draíochta traveled to the developing metropolis of Istara, where he met Rila Garju, who became his mentor and close associate. Garju trained him in the arcane arts and wizardry, and following Garju’s ascension to power in 44AA, Draíochta became the Interim Vice Provost. Garju passed away following a serious illness in 22AA, and Albert Draíochta was elected in a landslide as Chancellor and leader of the Court. Over his lifetime he has developed numerous useful spells, including memory retrieval. His tenure has seen Therana grow and become a world power.

General Physical Condition
When he was younger, Chancellor Draíochta used to be athletic and fit, but now although still active and can run, is slower and no longer gymnast-tier.

Draíochta's silvery hair reaches below his shoulders and he sports a coiffed long beard. His skin is wrinkled with age, but still cared for.

Personal history
Albert Johann Draíochta was born and raised in the thorp of Ekszhai, at the end of the Whispering Road. He was raised among several siblings in a small wizarding community, but decided that the world in his little village was too small. At the age of seventeen, following a minimal education from his family, Draíochta set off southward-bound, taking a trip through each little village along the way. He settled in Istara, where he began to take courses at the new Rimorne University. He studied political science and magic there, and passed his knowledge to becoming headmaster at Madame Zaharina's Institute of Wizardry. There he remained until 54 AA, where he began to work under the prestigious Rila Garju, Vice Chancellor of Therana. Ten years later, the positions of power all shifted upwards with the execution of Jole Qia, the most previous Chancellor. Draíochta, during this time, devoted his efforts to technological advancement and the research of advanced magic, and was continuously reelected along with Garju. After her death, he took on the mantle of Chancellor, and has not been voted out since. In 1 QY he fought in the very first Great War against Electreco's armies, and following the war, remodeled the bureaucracy along with colleague Hirlia Astana. He, along with several vampire nations, helped suppress the Cliffside Rebellion in 6 QY, but was attacked by Electreco using blood magic two years following. Draíochta survived, and with the help of several other like-minded world leaders, helped form the Allied Team to combat the evils of Ravenblood and its alliances. He soon began recruiting local citizens of Istara to the cause, presiding over the Allied Team in addition to Therana from then on. In 23 QY, he was part of the rescue mission to save Lily Astana and Fleur Montagnia, and capture the evil queen once and for all.

Draíochta began work in political science and magic at Rimorne University in 64AA. He began to intern at Madame Zaharina's Institute of Wizardry, and worked there for ten years, where he became headmaster for the last five. After his stint at the Institute, Draíochta took an interning position under Vice Provost Rila Garju in 54AA. Garju was elected Chancellor in 44 following the untimely death of Jole Qia, where Draíochta resumed her post as Interim Vice Provost. During his tenure as Vice Provost, he led the way on researching new spellcasting methods and developed revolutionary magic technology for Therana's government and people alike. Following several re-elections, Rila Garju's passing in 22AA brought on another election, where Draíochta decided to run for her post. For the last 47 years he has been continuously re-elected as High Chancellor and has seen the rise and fall of darkness in the East.
