Government
Istara contains the federal government of the Honorable Republic of Therana, but additionally contains its local government, run by Mayor Rubyn Messina.
Assets
Istara features several prominent banks in the Financial District, each privately amassing values upwards of 100,000 gp or more. The city has its own reserve storehouses hidden underground in Lower West Briat.
Geography
Istara's northern borough, Goldenview, is built upon a sloping hill northwards. It is split between boroughs by the rivers Fleucium and Madia. On the east half of the river Madia is Amber City, the second borough, nestled on a smaller hill with a flat point towards the end. The third and southern borough, Ardmore, has hills in the east, but a valley in the west and south, distinguishing it from the other two boroughs.
Natural Resources
Istara is on the edge of a forest to the north. It gets most of its wood from the logging village of Northwood.
