Personal history
Jole Qia was born in the developing city of Istara, in the Grioc District. There, he began learning how to invent, and decided to train in magic to support local inventors. When he was in his twenties, Qia ran for the older city council, and was elected, and at the age of 23, gained the position of High Chancellor following a regional election. His first act was to establish nationwide elections, and things in Therana seemed to be looking up. With his inheritance he purchased a villa in Bergia, which now stands as a historical site, and from there became the primary executive of Therana. However, Jole Qia's duties were far from over- out east, in Ravenblood, the Château de la Sorcière had been sitting empty, and thus Therana conquered it swiftly. It was there that Qia governed for the last half of his life, and in 44 AA, his grip on the region had weakened and a young witch named Electreco overtook the Rock. He was captured and tortured by her, and on the morning of 1 Midyear, he was executed by guillotine.
