Silvanus
The Forest Father
Born a mortal in the forests of Silvyr, Tavon Oakenheart was raised to respect and protect nature, and he spent his whole life as a champion of the forests. As the only non-elf in a village of elves, his existence and origin were always a mystery. As he learned more about nature from the elves and from his own travels, he began to take on a slightly more cynical view of nature than the loving adoration Ehlonna preached. Tavon recognized the need to cull or eliminate plants and animal species from time to time, so that the greater biome could flourish. To him, the world was a cycle of death and rebirth, and his philosophy closely mirrors that of Raven Queen , though focused more on nature than on people.
Toward the end of his life, having spent many decades protecting and advocating for Nature, Tavon completed the Rite of Deification and ascended to his godhood. More recently, after the emergence of Chauntea, many priests have begun spreading the message of both deities together, especially in farmlands and rural communities where healthy planting and crop rotation habits are necessary.
Silvanus's main temple is located in Errolton .
