Raven Queen
Mistress of the Dead
Born a human during the time of the Great War, Brynna Dawnfowl was a ceremonial undertaker for the human armies, preparing soldiers' bodies and souls for the journey to the afterlife. At the time she lived, the only god of death greedily harvested souls for his own uses instead of shepherding them to their proper ends. This was one of the main catalysts of the Great War, besides the general oppression the elves brought upon the other races of the world. As Brynna continued in her duties, she was able to use the strength of Pelor to fight off the influence of Nerull and guide the souls to their proper afterlives. She began to see life and the world as one big connected machine, with one decision affecting another and then another, etc.
After the war, she ascended to godhood with the generals and other heroes of the war. Her first act upon claiming her place in the plane of Mechanus was to wrench control of the dead souls from Nerull . From then on, she has guided souls from their death to whatever afterlife they deserve. From her clockwork palace, she observes the strings of Fate: where they push and pull people, how they connect one person to another, and how some fade out when a choice is made.
The Raven Queen is known to sport a porcelain death mask at all times, depicting a nondescript female with a blank stare. This image appears in all statues and other imagery of her and has been corroborated by numerous people -- both her own High Priests and nonbelievers who died but were brought back to life.
Her main temple was formerly in Rivermouth, but after that city was swallowed by the ocean during The Cataclysms the main temple was moved to the giant necropolis in Lyesa .

Tenets of Faith
What is meant to be dead should stay dead.
All people and all events are connected by Fate, but each choice we make severs some cords and connections we might have had.
The dead should be treated with respect and dignity, as should their spirits.
