Jessica Petterson Valedictorian Speech

Jessica Petterson is one of the main protagonist from “Pulled from Another World.” She along with her Fiance Kevin Smith  were abruptly transported into a fantasy world by unknown means. What she finds out is that she is in the body of her avatar Lilitu a Demoness from the SMMORPG Deicide: No Gods, No Kings .

Personality

Jessica is a very outgoing and social person who enjoys social gatherings and being the life of the party. She has always been a people person but had to carry herself with subdued enthusiasm due to her family life. Growing up she was afraid to be herself while living with her parents. Due to their cut throat nature she has developed an analytical mind and hyperfocused on social cues.
Jessica stays connected with many of the friends she made since moving out of her parents home. She is often the one that plans activities, bar night, and parties when she is not gaming. Even still her passion is in creativity, writing, art and music are her great joys that got her through her toughest times with her family. Gaming would be an emerging passion after discovering the possibilities she had with in SMMORPGs not found in real life.
Even still Jessica and snap back into her teaching as a cut throat business minded woman at any time. When she has to interact with her family she often has to put on the facade of the cold calculating Daughter of the Petterson House. A side of her that she never wants to show her true friends now that she is so far from home.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Jessica is in good physical shape and is a “natural” which means a human without genetic or cybernetic changes to the physical body. This is primarily because both of her parents were both genetic marvels as it was and the likelihood she would need genetic changes were nonexistent. Because of her stellar genes she has the potential to be a peak human in any field she chooses.

Body Features

Jessica is 5”7’ with a brown skin complexion. Her hair is a dark brown appearing black in low light, with natural curls usually styled in different ways. Her eyes are also a deep brown and she rarely wears makeup unless going to meet with family. He has a tattoo of circuitry that runs along her right side and wraps around her neck.

Identifying Characteristics

Jessica has a large tattoo that runs along the right side of her body starting at the hip traveling up her side, around the arm and wrapping around her neck. It is in the design of a circuit diagram. It is a smart tattoo which glows according to her breathing changing in brightness by a few lumens with every inhale and decreasing on the exhale.

Early Childhood

Jessica was born on Polarix 20th, 265 ( the marsano equivalent of October 15th, 2346 Earth Standard) in the Petterson Genetic Research Compound on Mars . There she, like all of her siblings, would be tested for genetic disorders or unfavorable traits. She would receive the name Jessica after her paternal great-grandmother Jessica Hasvalt Arora Petterson. She would remain in the Genetic Research Compound until she was a year old which would be the first and last time she would see her mother or father in person for the next three years. Jessica would in that time be raised by her nannies Mrs. Grinwald, Ms. Rebecca and Ms. Julie alongside the Ares Estate maids and butlers.

On her third birthday Susie Petterson, her mother, would arrive at the estate to enroll her in a gifted program for early childhood development. Susie would pick her up and drop her off for school for publicity to show that she is a hard working mother of a young daughter while running for the Marsano Trade Commission Seat. The campaign was primarily to humanize the ultra rich woman and make her seem down to earth. Jessica would spend the most time with her mother during her campaign days then when she won the election Susie stopped going to see Jessica.
When Jessica turned five she was introduced to her older siblings the nineteen year old Vincent Jr. and Seventeen year old Maria. The two were apathetic to the young girl opting to focus on their own individual lives and ventures. It was also around this time that her nanny Ms. Rebecca passed away in an accident involving a drunk driver. Replacement nanny Mrs. Knocks would be far stricter than the other two wanting to climb up the ranks in the Petterson house. She would eventually get the other two nannies fire framing them for various mistakes around the estate.
At the age of eight years old Jessica would meet her first friend Arnald Hasterbottem. The two became inseparable doing everything together at school. The two would remain friends until Jessica turned 13 and found out that Arnald didn’t like her and was only her friend because her his dad made him so he could get closer to her parents. That same year Jessica would be entered into the Petterson Business Academy for the Gifted. A business focused private school run by the Petterson family trusts.

Teens

Upon attending the Petterson Business Academy Jessica realized how much power she really had and would use her name to act out and get away with whatever she wanted. She ended up becoming one of the mean girls of the school having a small posy of suck-ups and fellow mean girls. Her attitude aside she was a straight A student and found most of her classes boring. Throughout her middle school years she started to hate her family and would continue to act out to get attention.

  This would all come to a head when she and one of her friends was caught with drugs her freshman year of highschool. Her family covered up her involvement and blamed the entire ordeal on Jessica’s friend. This would end with her friend being sent to juvenile detention for a few months as a scapegoat. To prevent Jessica from tarnishing the Petterson name she was given her own physiatrist which she attended for a year. Jessica’s family would all move in together for the first time in her life having her mother, father and older sister under one roof. Her brother had already moved off world and did not join them.
It was during this time that she realized what she thought she wanted, having her family all together was not at all what she thought it would be. The Petterson’s are at their very nature a conniving and heartless bunch. Her family was just as cut throat with each other as they were with strangers and rivals. Any semblance of decency was a facade to gain some form of advantage over everyone else. Jessica quickly found that she had to be more guarded and cunning to survive in the new den of snakes she inadvertently created.

When she turned sixteen she would start as a university student on a special scholarship to Ares Interplanetary Institute of Business. She would attend university classes while still in highschool. She also gained freedom away from her parents which once again allowed her to find herself. She would take as many creative electives as possible which thankfully her parents did not mind as long she maintained straight A’s.
Her transition to fully becoming a University student the following year was expected though her parents disapproved as Marie and Vincent jr. both started in University a year before she managed to when they were her age. Even so she blossomed outside of the control of her family leading her to obtain her four year degree in two years. While out with her friends she would be introduced to video games which she took to quickly. Purchasing her own Sensory Console and Mind Map to play in her free time.
She became deeply fascinated by an upcoming game called Deicide and found out that the company developing was publishing under a subsidiary of the company her fathers was the COO. She used her fathers connections to be able to meet the development team of Deicide, Tharsis09 under the guise of being interested in the business side of the game development.

Young Adult

When Jessica turned 20 Deicide finally went into closed beta Jessica would be given a VIP pass to participate in the event which she had to attend in secret to prevent her family from finding out about her gaming habit.
