Sanocol

Breached by winter breeze

"Though it's secluded, Sanocol tends to get battered heavily by blizzards and coastal storms. It's a delight to visit, however, plan carefully.

Beaten & Battered

Throughout the years, Sanocol has had numerous periods where it has needed to rebuild from the ground up due to coastal storms tearing it apart. Only through the aid from the nearby nation of Kirchwal has it managed to return to its near-complete state time and time again. Originally created as temporary wooden structures, it was soon figured out that more sturdy constructions would be needed to allow any semblance of continued stay. As the city was constantly rebuilt, they discovered better and better methods of construction that allowed the weather to batter it almost endlessly without ending in major disrepair each time.   This continued attitude of rebuilding over and over again came not from the tenacity of the population, but the stubbornness of the man who founded the town. It was he, Atticus Snowstone, who decided to keep rebuilding better and better, learning from the mistakes that they left behind after each major storm that hit them.

The Snowstone Legacy

Upon the passing of the Snowstone name, Sanocol erected a statue of their founder in honour of the lengths that he had gone to ensure that their home was safe for constant life. Though the name had passed to memory, the town itself stands proudly along the coast of Cinia.   Because of the coastal storms that it takes the brunt of almost every month of the year, as well as its secluded place in the world, Sanocol has become a bit of a haven for those seeking to avoid the law that follows them. Cinia does not directly handle any criminal who takes shelter within its boundaries, however, the Magisterium presence that sits near the centre is always on the lookout for those who require sending back to the place of their crimes.
"Said to be left in the darkest caverns underneath the city, a dragon made of glass sits, waiting for its master to return..."
— A local Sanocol legend

The Underground

Sanocol is infamous for the criminal underground that supposedly caters to any pirate or petty thief that takes shelter there. Though no rumours have ever been substantiated, the legend lives on.
