Those Hidden in Life
Brought back to life through arcane means, divine intervention, or darker magicks, the revived are simply those who died and were brought back to life.
However, their existence is more akin to a half-life than their previous existence. They need no food, no water, and no air. They move unceasingly and unflinchingly in their quest to fulfill what they have been set to do by their resurrectors.
The few revived that are only recently dead when brought to their new existence are able to pass amongst the living, though some still choose not to. While most don't see them as something to fear unless they are hunting you, they are generally found as being rather disconcerting to be around due to their condition.
Unforgiving in Death
It is thought that the revived are only ever brought back to serve a purpose, whether that be as a form of servant to their arcane masters or to accomplish some task set to them by the divine and darker. The scholars who have studied them conclude that their seeming capacity for no further death would make them extremely useful as a servant.
The few revived that have discussed their existence with any form of scholar have recounted that they see visions as they trudge through their new life. They describe it as a strange dissonance to remember something that they have no understanding of as they hold no memories of their past life, being born anew by their resurrectors.
It is believed the lack of memory is due to the process that brings them to their half-life, a sacrifice of their last existence to bring an unburdened servant to bear.
